This is a still from the paper dreams animation that he produced. You can see how the shadow of objects are cut out of paper to cast shaped shadows on the colored paper behind it. The shadows in this frame are falling and cant be seen when they touch the edge. This effect is created by taking a frame with colored card at the back of it and putting pieces of paper in front of it to cast the shadows onto the color. The frames are each individually cut out and are replaced every frame to keep a consistent frame rate. Kenneth was most likely to have created this because he wanted to try a not digital form of art that kept to his style of work, maby he wanted to see what he can achieve with analog work.
